Borderless Classroom K-12

Keeping Students Focused and Safe

Borderless Classroom by Aristotle Insight::K12

A new feature added to BSD's instructional technology resources for teachers, Borderless Classrooms allows the teacher to share his or her screen with students, allows students to take part in class from any physical location, allows one-to-one chat capabilities for teachers and students, provides enhanced and flexible classroom management, and allows the teacher to monitor what students are doing on their devices from the teacher dashboard in real time.  Borderless classroom not only works seemlessly when students are present in the classroom, but it also works outside the school network to allow students to remain part of the classroom while not physically able to be present in school.

Teachers will be able to:
  • share live video with students
  • utilize audio capabilities to teach a lesson
  • share their screen with the class, group of students, or an individual student
  • conduct one-on-one check-ins with students while the rest of class is in session and working
  • view student screens in real-time
  • open web pages for students as a whole class, group, or individual
  • redirect student devices if off task with browser tab control
  • lock-down student devices for testing
  • block or allow websites as needed for class
  • automatically highlight off-task students

In the event a student's internet activity is inappropriate or unsafe, real time notifications will be sent to allow for quick intervention.  Depending upon the nature of the event, the teacher will notify the Building Principal or will use the infraction as a teachable moment to reinforce positive, safe, and productive digital citizenship.
