TransportationParents/Guardians, Last school year, the District put out an urgent request for parents to provide transportation, if at all possible, to get as many students in-person as possible. Your response was so overwhelming, the vast majority of bus runs could easily accommodate those students in need of transportation to and from school. While the bus restrictions in place last year have been lifted for this year, we ask that parents again consider providing transportation if at all possible. Obviously, the fewer the number of students on a bus the better when a highly contagious airborne virus is in play. Should a bus passenger test positive for COVID, there is a strong possibility that additional bus passengers will need to isolate or quarantine due to being in close contact. The fewer the number of students, the greater the distance between passengers and less close contacts - just another mitigation strategy we can employ to mitigate spread. |
